Good Times Entertainment is an innovative organization, taking old ideas and fusing them together into a new creation. Partners Clayton Jordan and Corey Reeves aim to provide good culture through the arts and entertainment and through sports and recreation.

Clayton Jordan, originally from Niceville, Florida, has been practicing ventriloquism since 1976. His educational background includes: Niceville High School, Pensacola Junior College, University of West Florida, and New Orleans Baptist Seminary. Clayton has been influential in sports, music, and worship ministries. He has also been an administrative part of several congregations including: First Baptist, Brookhaven, Ms., First Baptist, Gainesville, Ga., First Baptist, Dothan, Al. and First Methodist, Dothan, Al.

Clayton has performed as a ventriloquist throughout the South at churches, camps, retreats, businesses, schools, and parties for 32 years. He has four characters that have become a part of his family. Andy was the first, then 2 years ago Thurston and Gerdy came on the scene and just recently, Rochester the Preacher joined the Team.

Clayton also offers his gifting of music, both playing and composing, which currently includes 2 albums with original songs. His newest album, “Old Time Praise” consists of all gospel hymns.

Introducing Andy and the Good Times Crew

Andy, one of Clayton’s best friends, and the first of the crew, is a creation of Detwiller Studios. Andy always seems to stir up a lot of trouble, but usually survives and lands on his feet in a humorous fashion. Andy loves all ages, but seems to have a special connection with the Children. Kids connect with Andy quickly because they can see a lot of their life in his. He loves to share his experiences in going to school, going to Church, and growing up in a small town.Even though Andy is very much a loveable character, at times he is a source of frustration to those he cares for the most.including his parents, teachers, friends and his pastor. In his prayers, he likes to assure  God not to worry if he can’t make him a better little boy because he is having a good time just the way he is. Andy loves people and he loves life. He is a lot of fun to be around and always enjoys making new friends.

Rochester’s Bio

Rochester, a Baptist preacher, has been in the ministry for over 50 years. He is a creation of Dan Payes a California Doll maker. This very likeable and lovable character has had a wide variety of experiences in his ministry and loves to share his stories. You can tell he is very passionate about his beliefs and his work. He is still very healthy and loves to go and serve wherever he can. During his last mission trip to Africa, he had a scarey experience with a big, ferocious Lion. His escape turns out to be a humorous story that you will want to hear.Rochester does have a strong love and passion for people and would love to see everyone he comes in contact with know the Lord he knows.You can’t help but like this delightful character and he will soon win a soft spot in your heart.

Gerdy’s Bio

Gerdy, a true Southern gal, many times  finds herself in odd circumstances through no fault of her own.She often gets herself  into situations that seem impossible to end up positive, but she always seems to land on her feet. She is very active and energetic and believes in taking good care of herself. Now a widow, she has been married four times and has a unique way of describing each of her husbands. She is very active in her Church and always willing to help and serve others. She loves to tell stories about her Pastor, but you can tell she is very loyal and supportive of his ministry. Gerdy is also a creation of California Puppet maker, Dan Payes, and loves audiences of all ages. She will take you back to an earlier time when Southern Ladies were considered the pride of the South. Everyone enjoys spending time with Gerdy and you just can’t help but to laugh at her life.

Thurston’s Bio

Thurston, a grouchy but lovable old man, loves to talk about his battles with age, his humorous relationship with his wife, and his duties as a Deacon in his Church. He is a prime example of someone whose bark is much worse than his bite. He tries his best not to show it, but he loves being around the children and no matter how grumpy he gets, kids still love to see him and see what he will come up with next. He also is a Dan Payes doll and has a very unique look. Thurston will keep you laughing and make you realize that life really is fun and good. He is like a lot of old timers in that he doesn’t mind giving you his opinion and no one is safe from his style of humor. To know Thurston is to love him, and you will enjoy this character.

 

 

 

 

 

Corey and his wife Lauren Reeves

Corey Reeves graduated from the Baptist College of Florida with a BA in Christian Counseling in May of 2011. He has been a musician for over 10 years. The musical capacities he has been found in are

AUDIO ENGINEERING; mixing live audio several times a week is a highly enjoyable part of Corey’s life as well as micing, mixing and editing in the studio. If you want it to sound good, Corey can make it happen:

PRODUCING; Corey’s latest project has been working with the worship band Flying Backwards. In the summer of 2011 Corey produced their song New Era which was released on His Radio and KMX here in the Wiregrass! Corey and Flying Backwards are currently working in the studio on a highly anticipated song to be released soon titled Star Breathing Giant:
